Mosque-i Jameh of Kashan
The mosque, whose original structure dates back to the first century of Islam, is located on Baba Afzal Street in Kashan. The mosque was renovated during the Al-Buwayhids period and underwent reconstruction during the Seljuk era, featuring a beautiful brick minaret with Kufic inscriptions dating back to 466 AH. The mosque underwent additions and renovations during the Safavid period, but an earthquake in 1192 caused its destruction, and ultimately, the comprehensive reconstruction of Jameh Mosque was completed in 1207 AH.
